Terms of Use for STOCKD - AI Pantry

These Terms of Use form a legally binding agreement between you and STOCKD - AI Pantry regarding your access to and use of the Services. This document is designed for in-app, website, and App Store presentation and should be read together with the STOCKD Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using STOCKD services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering a binding agreement under applicable law. The Services are not directed to children under 13. If under the age of majority, use is allowed only with parent/guardian permission and supervision.

3. Description of the Services

STOCKD offers pantry inventory, shopping, reminders, barcode/product lookup, collaboration, and AI-powered assistance features. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time to the extent permitted by law.

4. Account Registration and Security

Certain features require an account. You are responsible for accurate registration information, safeguarding credentials, and activity under your account. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

5. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use. Reverse engineering, unauthorized automation, and competitive misuse are prohibited unless explicitly allowed by law.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Services to violate law, infringe rights, upload harmful code, bypass security, access systems without authorization, engage in fraud/abuse, or submit prohibited content.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant STOCKD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and use content as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Services and fulfill legal obligations.

8. Shared and Group Features

Shared pantry/group features may expose content to group members with role-based editing rights. You are responsible for sharing decisions and group access management.

9. AI Features

AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate and are for informational assistance only. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs before reliance.

10. Product and Food Information

Third-party product/food data (including Open Food Facts) may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always verify critical information such as allergens, ingredients, nutrition, and expiration details from reliable sources.

11. Subscriptions, Billing, and Paid Features

Paid features may require subscriptions or in-app purchases. Apple handles billing for App Store purchases and RevenueCat may manage subscription infrastructure. Renewals, cancellation, and refunds are subject to platform rules and applicable law.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual Property

STOCKD content, branding, software, interfaces, and related assets are owned by or licensed to STOCKD and are protected by intellectual property laws.

14. Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant STOCKD a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use that feedback for lawful purposes without compensation.

15. Third-Party Services

STOCKD may rely on Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, OpenAI, and Open Food Facts. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.

16. Termination and Suspension

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, risk, legal/compliance reasons, or service discontinuation.

17. Disclaimers

Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law, with no guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, STOCKD and related parties are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Total liability is limited as stated in the Terms.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify STOCKD and related parties against claims and losses arising from your use of the Services, User Content, or violation of law/Terms to the maximum extent permitted by law.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of laws principles, subject to mandatory consumer protection laws.

21. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, contact us at Stockd.work@gmail.com for informal resolution. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes are subject to the competent courts in India, subject to applicable law.

22. Changes to the Services or These Terms

We may update these Terms and provide notice when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

23. Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without prior written consent. We may assign or transfer them in connection with restructuring, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or operation of law.

24. Severability

If any provision is unlawful, void, or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent possible and the remainder will continue in full force.

25. No Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other rights.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and additional feature-specific terms, form the entire agreement between you and STOCKD regarding the Services.
